Power tools are one of the more overlooked resale categories. Most new resellers gravitate towards toys or electronics first, but tools have genuine advantages: durable demand from tradespeople, less concern about "new in box" condition, and a buyer base that cares about function over packaging.

Why the category holds up well

Tradespeople and serious hobbyists buy tools to use, not to keep sealed. That changes the whole dynamic compared to something like toys, where condition and packaging drive most of the value. 2. Check sold prices for the exact model, not the general product line. A brand name alone doesn't tell you much. The specific model number is what determines resale value.
3. Separate new and used sold prices. These can differ substantially, and blending them together will give you an inflated sense of what you'll actually get.
4. Factor in postage properly. Tools are heavier and bulkier than clothing or small toys, and postage costs can eat a meaningful chunk of margin if you don't account for it before buying.
